Franklin County Children’s Task Force’s registration for the Regional School Unit 73 Summer Program at Spruce Mountain Middle School is now live on its website.

The 21st Century Kids of Southern F.R.A.N.K.L.I.N. is providing a summer enrichment program opportunity to next school year’s K-8 students who attend Spruce Mountain primary, elementary and middle schools, and students who are homeschooled or attend private schools in the RSU 73 district area.

The program is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. to 4  p.m. Monday through Thursday, June 26-July 27, at the 23 Community Drive middle school in Jay. There will be no program July 3-6.

Parents/guardians must drop off students no earlier than 8:30 a.m. and pick up students no later than 4 p.m.

The program offers a variety of daily and/or weekly physical, visual/performing arts, STEM, mindfulness and literacy enrichment activities, according to a news release from the Franklin County Children’s Task Force, based in Farmington.

Parents will receive an application-received confirmation email within five business days of submission. Transportation to and from the middle school is not provided. All students must be dropped off and picked up by a parent/guardian or their designees.

Enrollment in the program is limited to 60 students to ensure an adequate staff-to-student ratio.

The program is free to kindergarten through eighth grade students living in the community.
