DAYTONA BEACH – Vivian Irene La Bonte, known to her loved ones as Viv, passed away on May 7, 2023 at the age of 78 in Daytona Beach, Fla.

Vivian was born on Sept. 14, 1945 in Waterville, Maine to Amie Poulin and Grace (Giroux) Poulin.

She was a very caring person who was extra social and outgoing. She was a conversationalist and loved spending time with her family and friends. She was the mother of five children and the wife of Bruce La Bonte for 58 years in her only marriage. She attended Saint Mary’s Catholic school for her primary education and was a Coney High School Graduate. She helped form the Jade Carpet & Interiors and was the Secretary of the Corporation for 24 years from 1970-1994.

Vivian enjoyed swimming, horseshoes, suntanning, and camping. She was a member of Saint Peters Catholic Church of De Land, Fla. and Our Lady Of Lords in Daytona Beach, Fla.

She is survived by her husband, Bruce La Bonte; her five children, Scott, Christopher, Lisa, Randall, and Rhett; and 11 grandchildren, Correy, Nathan, Nicholas, Cheyne, Noah, Carlee Jae, Charles, Scarlett, Mason, Asher, and Amelia. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, and brother Reginald Poulin.
