Edward Eugene Towers Sr.

CLINTON – Edward Eugene Towers Sr., 79, of Clinton passed peacefully at home surrounded by family, on May 31, 2023. He was born in Waterville on May 22, 1944, to Archiebald Towers and Bertha (Buzzell) Towers. To know “ET” was to always be around a friend and always having laughs and jokes. Love of music and the chance to play guitar and sing to anyone who would listen. ET was known for his hard work in the woods and later as a truck driver. Many memories of running heavy equipment for Mike Salisbury and driving truck for Wright Farm. Also, anyone who needed a driver. ET enjoyed racing stock cars and being a fan of racing, throwing the horseshoe around and having a cold beer. His children will always feel the love of daddy’s hand. He is survived by his children James Towers and family, Scott and Denise Towers, Kim and Brent Johnson, Mark Towers and Shawna Ryder, Pete (Tracey) and Nicole Towers, Colleen Towers and Darci Towle, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. His sisters Arlene and David Cannon Sr., also Marion and Joe Wing. Predeceased by his wife Phyllis Towers and son Edward Jr. and many families and friends. The family would like to express thanks to special friends Vinnie and Gloria Cascio, and his VFW family. The family would also like to thank Mark, Shawna and Candida for all of their hard work and special care that was given in his final days. There will be a burial Friday June 23, at 3 p.m., at Brown Memorial Cemetery on the Albion Road in Benton Maine, a reception will follow immediately after at Fairfield VFW on Upper Main Street, Fairfield Maine.

Arrangements are under the care of Dan and Scott’s Cremation and Funeral Service 445 Waterville Rd. Skowhegan, ME 04976.
