FLORIDA – John Edwards LaSuer Jr., 78, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2023.

John was born on March 3, 1945, in Concord, N.H. He grew up in Rye, N.H., attended the Emerson School for Boys in Exeter, N.H., and graduated from Proctor Academy in Andover, N.H. He received his bachelor’s degree in geology from the University of New Hampshire in Durham, N.H. He then went on to work for UNH for 23 years, managing the purchasing for the dining facilities on campus.

In addition, John was an avid sailor, photographer, gardener, and cyclist. He lived in Rye, N.H., for many years before he and his wife, Wendy, moved to Englewood, Fla., in 2010. John was the type of person who loved to stay busy, fixing or building anything and everything. John and Wendy had an incredible 30 years together, enjoying trips out west and exploring new places.

John was predeceased by his parents, John E. LaSuer Sr. and Caroline LaSuer. He is survived by his wife, Wendy Johnson, children, Jessica Stevenson and Justin Hotham, son-in-law Andrew Stevenson, and granddaughter Sydney Stevenson.

A private service will be held at a later date.
