Regional School Unit 18 (Oakland, China, Belgrade, Sidney and Rome) is sponsoring the U.S. Department of Agriculture Summer Meals for Kids.

The school district plans to offer free meals to children from Monday, June 26, through Friday, Aug. 11, at sites throughout the district.

All meals must be consumed on site at the following locations:

• James Bean School, 2896 Middle Road, Sidney;

• Belgrade Center for all Seasons, 1 Center Drive, Belgrade Lakes;

• Rome Community Center, 8 Mercer Road, Rome;

• China Middle School, 773 Lakeview Drive, South China;

• Oakland Boat Landing, 10 Belgrade Ave., Oakland; and

• Messalonskee Middle School, 33 School Bus Drive, Oakland.

Meals will be available Monday through Friday. No meals will be served on July 4 in observance of the holiday.

The program is available for all children 18 and younger without charge. It is the same for all children, regardless of race, color, national origin, sex or disability.
