Galen D. Larrabee
KNOX – Galen D. Larrabee, 74, of Knox, passed away at home with his loving family. Galen was born in Knox on Oct. 27, 1948 to the late Newton and Marjorie (Clements) Larrabee.
Galen was a loving father and dairy farmer who was very active in his community. He was First Selectman for the Town of Knox, lobbied for the dairy industry, sang with the Kennebec Valley Chordsmen and loved spending time with his family.
Galen was predeceased by his parents; and his wife, Gertrude (Williams) Larrabee.
Surviving are his sons Anthony and wife Larissa Larrabee, Brady and wife Ella Larrabee, Andrew Larrabee, James Deschamps, and daughter, Nyia and husband Jared O’Neal; all his siblings Agnes and husband Bob Nelson, Harold and wife Joyce Larrabee, Lona and husband Bob Bourassa, and Marilyn and husband David Schofield; grandchildren Anthony Jr., Kalib, Keira, Everleigh, Olivia, and Samantha; great-grandchildren Silas, Everly Jo, and Tatum; his special friend, Elena; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Services will be held 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 1 at the Brooks Pentecostal Church, in Brooks. Memories and condolences may be shared at ripostafh.com.
