HARMONY – Linda Marie Wentworth, 75, of Harmony, passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta. With the support from family and friends Linda was able to courageously battle cancer her way, surrounded by those she loved.

Linda was born on Oct. 25, 1947, daughter of Frank and Letha Lawler. Linda married Richard Wentworth on Sept. 26, 1964, and lived in Harmony with their six children.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Richard; and grandson, Lawrence Richardson.

She leaves behind her sister, Penny Gould, brother, Frank Lawler; her children Richard Wentworth Jr. and wife Nicole, Loretta McCarthy and husband Randy, Lorraine Wentworth and partner Mylon Spofford, William Wentworth and partner Linda McAfee, Franky Joe Wentworth and partner Pam Arntz, and Lawrence Wentworth and wife Amanda. Linda also leaves behind 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She enjoyed making Christmas wreaths, crocheting, yard sales, playing cards, and the occasional fishing trip. She greatly enjoyed the companionship of her loyal dog, named “Dog”.

A graveside memorial will be held for Linda on June 24, at 10 a.m., at Mount Rest cemetery in Athens. Reverend Richard Berry will be officiating the service.
