MONMOUTH – Lois (Reid) Slauenwhite, 89, of Monmouth, passed away on Dec. 12, 2022. She was born Sept. 4, 1933 in Fort Fairfield and was the second of six children born to Harry and Clara Reid.

A graduate of Central Maine Medical Center Nursing Program, Lois worked as a registered nurse for 45 years. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

Lois leaves behind her husband of 67 years, Norman Slauenwhite; son, Norman Slauenwhite Jr., his wife Laurie and son Austin; daughter, Marica Moore and her daughter Kristin; daughter, Jill Saucier and her husband Paul; son, Timothy Slauenwhite, his wife Pamela and children Elizabeth, Benjamin, Margarette, and Emmaline; daughter, Teri Rouillard and her daughter, Nora.

She was predeceased by brothers Alton Reid, James Reid, Lawrence Reid, Kenneth Reid, and a baby sister.

A graveside memorial service is scheduled Saturday, June 24 at 1 p.m. at the Ridge Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Monmouth. A reception will follow at the United Church of Monmouth’s Packard Activity Center, 778 Main St., Monmouth.
