LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Peter passed away March 9, 2023 in Las Vegas, Nev. where he had made his home for the last several decades. He was the only child of Bernard and Jeannette (Dusty) Rancourt, born Nov. 27, 1941.

Peter was a 1956 graduate of Waterville High School, where he was a member of the debate team and manager of the football team. In 1960 he graduated from Northeastern University in Massachusetts. His career was in the field of computer system analysis.

He is survived by his son, Rain Rancourt and a large circle of friends in Las Vegas, Nev. He also leaves many cousins throughout Maine.

Peter had a passion for travel and traveled the world, visiting Europe, Asia, Australia and North and South America. He made many of these trips with John Woodside, one of Peter’s 52 first cousins.

Burial will take place at St. Francis Cemetery in Waterville alongside his parents on June 28, at 11:30 a.m.
