SKOWHEGAN – Marjory Ella Clukey, 78, peacefully passed away after a long illness on July 5, 2023 at the Springbrook Center in Westbrook.

She was born in Anson on April 15, 1945, the oldest child of Raynold and Drusilla (Drew) Ordway. She grew up in Madison and attended Madison schools. She worked for many years as a packer in local shoe shops, including Norwalk and Dexter Shoe. Later in life she worked as a deli and sample clerk at the Hannaford supermarket in Skowhegan, a job that she really enjoyed.

Marjory attended the Norridgewock Baptist Church where she was saved, assuring her future home with Jesus in Heaven.

She enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed watching TV, something she said she never got to do earlier in life and enjoyed TBN, the news and the History Channel immensely. She also enjoyed puzzles and reading the newspaper. Marjory was at her happiest talking to people and making new friends and acquaintances every chance she had. She was very generous to multiple charities.

Marjory is survived by her sons, Paul and granddaughter Kylie of Biddeford; Michael and his wife Debi of Biddeford; David and his wife Katie of South Portland, along with their children, Caleb and Logan; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is also survived by her brothers Jeff Paine of Madison and Timothy Paine of Skowhegan.

She was predeceased by her life partner, Guy Worster of Skowhegan; her parents; five brothers and a sister.

A graveside service and burial will be held at the Southside Cemetery in Skowhegan at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 12.

The family would like to express their thanks and gratitude to Redington-Fairview Hospital and Maine Medical Center, along with Cedar Ridge and Springbrook Center nursing homes for the excellent care she received.
