Do you agree with the new Maine law expanding abortion access?

As the Maine Legislature recently concluded its session, lawmakers passed a landmark new bill supported by Gov. Janet Mills that allows abortions later in a pregnancy.

Mills was expected to sign the bill into law, making Maine one of the least-restrictive states by removing a near-complete ban on abortions after 24 weeks. The new law will allow abortions if a doctor deems it necessary regardless of gestational age.

The law bucks the trend of many other states, which have moved to restrict abortion access in the wake of the U.S. Supreme Court overturning the Roe v. Wade case a year ago.

But what do you think? Do you agree with the new Maine law expanding abortion access? Tell us in the poll and comments below.
