FAIRFIELD – Thursday, July 20, 2023, Bertha Pauline Mills passed away in the arms of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Bertha was born June 20, 1967, in Waterville as the daughter of Frank E. Mills Jr. and Tamara “Jean” Reilley Mills. She was disabled from the day she was born.

She loved going to the fairs, the Shriner Circus, and anywhere where there were animals.

In August of 2019, her mother placed her in Skills in Hinckley, which is a home for disabled people. It’s the most wonderful place she could have been. She was incredibly loved and well taken care of. She enjoyed herself and the different places she was able to go.

Bertha is predeceased by her father, and is survived by her mother, her brother Frank Roland Mills, Aunt Joanne Johnson, Aunt Pat, her sister-in-law Sandra Grard, and her many cousins.

She was very loved by her parents and those who knew her.

Visiting hours will be held from 4-6 p.m., on Wednesday, July 26 at Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm Street, Waterville. She will be buried with her father at the Maine Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Augusta at a later date.
