SKOWHEGAN — Five people were arrested and fentanyl and other illegal drugs were confiscated this week during a search of a Skowhegan home, the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday.

Ten deputies from the Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant Monday at a residence at 15 Winter St., Sheriff Dale Lancaster said in a statement to the news media.

Two of those living at the house — Thomas Scott, 37, and Kama Parrott, 45 — were arrested and charged with trafficking in illegal drugs.

In addition to fentanyl, investigators found crack cocaine, liquid methadone, Percocet pills, Suboxone strips, more than $3,200 in suspected drug proceeds, drug paraphernalia and other drug-related material, Lancaster said.

Nine people were at the house when officials executed the search warrant.

Deputies also arrested Eric Bussell, 56, of Norridgewock and Mike Medeiros, 38, of Skowhegan. Both men were charged with trafficking in drugs.

Deputies also arrested Tesla Gordon, 29, of Skowhegan on a warrant.

The drug seizure was the latest in the Skowhegan area in recent months.

Two people were arrested and more than a pound of fentanyl and other drugs were seized last month after Skowhegan police searched a house in Canaan.

In June, police said they carried out three drug operations in Skowhegan, and ramped up their investigations into drug sales across Somerset County.

Monday’s search was the culmination of a monthslong investigation into drug-related activity at the house at 15 Winter St., Lancaster said.

The five who were arrested were taken to the Somerset County Jail in Madison. They could face additional charges as the investigation continues, Lancaster said.
