WATERVILLE — The Planning Board is expected Tuesday to consider plans for storage units on College Avenue and a solar farm on Kennedy Memorial Drive.
Bosworth Group LLC is scheduled to request preliminary and final review for a self-storage unit project at 195 College Ave., just south of the car wash. The plan is for seven buildings totaling 23,200 square feet, according to City Planner Ann Beverage.
Beverage said Monday that developers a few years ago got approval to build storage units at the site, but did not build them. Bosworth Group has now developed plans for storage there.
In other matters, Dennis Brockway is scheduled to present proposed revisions to a previously approved site plan for self-storage units to be built at 122 Webb Road. Brockway wants to put a building in a different location than originally planned, according to Beverage.
In a separate matter, Price Enterprises LLC is slated to request informal preapplication review for a solar farm at 350 Kennedy Memorial Drive, behind a building that houses a Subway sandwich shop. Price also plans to request rezoning for the rear, undeveloped part of the property from Commercial-C to Airport Industrial to allow for construction of the solar farm.
Beverage said the Planning Board requested the developer bring a sketch of the proposed plans to Tuesday’s meeting, which is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. at The Elm at 21 College Ave.
Board members are also expected to continue discussion about revisions to the zoning ordinance that must be made to comply with state law. Short-term residential rentals and maximum size of accessory dwelling units are to be discussed, Beverage said.
