Ruthann Rosado

READFIELD – Ruthann Rosado, 66, passed away Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Maine Medical Center in Portland after suffering a long illness.

Ruthann was born in Boston, Mass. on July 16, 1957, to her parents, Gilbert and Eileen Rosado.

She attended school at Cardinal Cushing Catholic School, later attending Mass University where she got her associate degree in accounting. After that, she worked at State Street Bank for many years. In June of 1990 she purchased what is now known as Readfield Family Market, which she still operates today. Ruthann had a passion for cooking. She enjoyed flipping houses and painting. Her favorite pastime was watching her son, Nicolas, play basketball.

She was a very loving and generous human being. There is no one else like her. She gave her all to everything she did and did everything she could for anyone she knew. She will be greatly and sadly missed.

Ruthann was predeceased by her father Gilbert Rosado, mother Eileen (Finney) Rosado; and brother Kevin Rosado.

She is survived by her lifelong partner Raymond Lemay; son Nicolas Wilson; sister Debbie Currier; nieces Hope Wilson and Eileen Terranova; great-nieces Victoria and Celina Terranova, Katelyn Wilson, great-nephew Cole Terranova; cousins Eddie Gallagher, Gale Desenor and husband Wesley. Visitation will be held at Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm Street, Waterville, on Thursday, August 24 from 4 to 6 p.m. A committal will be held the following day, Friday, August 25, at Pine Grove Cemetery at 10 a.m.
