Trips to Italy included in Lincoln County Historical Association’s annual auction of experiences

Lincoln County Historical Association’s Preservation Party dinner and auction is focused onall things Italian.

The annual fundraiser is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 10 on the grounds of the historic Pownalborough Court House, 23 Courthouse Road in Dresden. It will feature a three-course Italian dinner, an auction of experiences that includes two vacations in Italy, and an auction of desserts.

Funds raised support LCHA’s mission to collect, preserve and interpret the history of Lincoln County. The organization maintains three historic buildings, catalogs the organization’s collection of artifacts and furnishings, and supports an education program that includes a lecture series and outreach to youth in Lincoln County schools.

For those to whom Tuscany calls, the auction offers two vacation experiences: a six-night package for four in a two-bedroom/two-bath apartment in Cortona and a seven-night package for two in as apartment on the Amalfi Coast. Airfare is not included, but each includes a local guided tour, a travel advisor and a destination concierge.

Other auction experiences include a cooking class/dinner for six, a dozen car washes, a Bob Bond photographic portrait, a wine or beer tasting for six, and a gift basket of Italian food and wine.

Auctioneer Kaja Vielleux of Thomaston Place Auction Galleries provides wry commentary.

Tickets may be purchased at lincolncountyhistory.org.
