AUGUSTA – Eric Charles Anderson, 52, of Augusta, also known as E.A., passed away unexpectedly on Aug. 20, 2023, at his home in Augusta. He was born in Augusta, the only son of Charles Anderson and Martha Anderson.

Eric went to Kents Hill High School for two years and then graduated from Halldale High School and Southern Maine Tech. with a degree in Plant and Soil Technology.

Eric was a wonderful caregiver for his mother Martha who predeceased him.

Eric worked many years in Construction and Roofing, but his love was always in his beautiful grow which he was able to concentrate on, once he became disabled from his many years in construction and roofing.

In his earlier years, Eric loved skiing and golfing and earned the MVP in Golfing from Southern Maine Tech. in 1997 and Low Medalist from Maine Small College Conference in 1997.

There were so many wonderful memories of the siblings as they were growing up together.

He was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandparents Ella and Jim MacDonald and his Fraternal Grandparents, Hazel and Melvin Anderson and his mother Martha Anderson of Augusta and his nephew Logan.

He is survived by his daughter Sophia of Augusta, his father Charles Anderson and wife Francena from Gardiner, his sister Kirsten Anderson her daughter Patricia and son Charlie and his sister Katrina Anderson and her son Finnegan.

Eric will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, especially his friend Scott who checked in on Eric daily, his friends Bill Tibbetts, Jeremy Ellis and Brady Palmer who were also dear friends of Erics. Ericā€™s dog Buddy will greatly miss him, but will continue to have a happy and loving home with Scott.

Per Ericā€™s wishes there will be no public visiting hours or funeral services. Eric will be buried in Oak Grove Cemetery at a later date.
