Brenda W. Jacobs

CORINNA – Brenda (Webb) Jacobs, 72, passed away peacefully Sept. 18, 2023 at home surrounded by loved ones after a brief illness.

She was born in Bangor, in 1950, the daughter of Freeman G. and Mary (Clark) Webb. She spent her school years in St. Petersburg, Fla., attended the University of Maine in Orono and graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pa. She was proud to earn a certification in teaching later in life and taught at Hartland Jr. High and Dexter Regional Middle and High Schools.

She loved her family fiercely and greatly enjoyed camp days spent on Lake Wassookeag. She was an avid reader and enjoyed gatherings with many of her former educator colleagues each year. She also enjoyed adventures to London, the Grand Canyon, Gettysburg, and Texas.

She was predeceased by her parents; and dear mentor, Sarah G. Chipman.

She is survived by her adoring husband of 35 years, Lawrence R. Jacobs; her three children and their families, Bonnie Simcock, her husband Jason and their children Clark and Eve; Anna Satterfield and her children Hazen Searway and his wife Arianna and their son Maverick and Molly Searway; Joe Satterfield and his wife, Suzie and their children Grady and Carly; and her beloved Yorkie, MacDuff “Duffy”. She is also survived by her dear friends Ginger Saunders, Marge and Jim Louder, David Louder; and her cousin, Sean Conlogue.

A private service for family and close friends will be held at a later date. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Northern Light Hospice and Northern Light Radiation Oncology.
