UNION — Vose Library is set to host a Soup & Suspense event with author David Rosenfelt at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, at the 392 Common Road library and via Zoom.

Soup will be ready at 6:30 p.m. for a suggested donation of $5. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A. Participants can pick up their soup to take home and view the presentation via Zoom, according to a news release from the library.
Rosenfelt is the Edgar-nominated and Shamus Award-winning author of nine stand-alone thrillers and 27 Andy Carpenter novels, plus four novels in his K Team series. A New Jersey native, he and his wife moved to Maine from California with 25 rescued dogs.
After a long and successful career as the president of marketing for Tri-Star Pictures, he began the Tara Foundation (the basis of Andy Carpenter’s foundation) to help find a home for sick or injured dogs. The foundation has rescued more than 4,000 dogs from shelters, experiences he relates in his non-fiction books “Dogtripping” and “Lessons from Tara.”
Some copies of his books will be available for purchase at the free presentation.
Vose encourages all participants to drop off an item for Pope Humane Society, which is partnering with the library for this event.
