
Dennis Sammons
READFIELD – Dennis Sammons, 75, passed away on Sept. 18, 2023, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.
Dennis was born to Finis and Phyllis Sammons on March 13, 1948, in Colorado. Dennis’ family relocated to Presque Isle shortly after where he was raised and went to college at the University of Maine, Orono.
Dennis was an outstanding Civil Engineer and quickly established himself in his field. Dennis was even a more talented painter and practiced his art throughout his life to create stunning oil paintings as a hobby during his free time.
Above everything else, Dennis took the most pride in being a father.
He is survived by his son, Dallas and Dallas’ wife Laura; his wife, Chris; and Chris’ mother Norma Grover. He is also survived by his brother, Mitchell and his wife Bonnie; as well as many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Dennis’ family will host a funeral service on Sept. 27 at Roberts Funeral Home, 62 Bowdoin St., Winthrop at 4:30 p.m.
