WALES — Ella Briand and Breonna Dufresne each scored two goals to lead the Richmond girls soccer team past Oak Hill, 5-1 on Wednesday.

Lila Viselli also found the back of the net for Richmond (6-2), which led 2-0 at halftime. Both of Dufresne’s goals were on penalty kicks.

Ava Rivet scored off an assist from Eliana Smith for Oak Hill (1-6).

MacKenzie Vattaso made eight saves for the Raiders, while Autumn Lane stopped six shots for the Bobcats.

 

MARANACOOK 1, HALL-DALE 0: Natalie Mohlar scored with nine minutes left in the game to give the Black Bears (8-0) the win in Readfield. Maranacook won its 40th straight home game, coach Travis Magnusson said.

Phoebe Bell earned the assist.

Maranacook’s Devyn Eliasen made two saves in goal to earn the clean sheet, while Aubrey Gilbert had nine stops for Hall-Dale (4-3).

 

MONMOUTH ACADEMY/WINTHROP 7, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 1: Annabelle Carlton scored four goals as the Ramblers (7-2) won at Jay.

Abigail St. Clair, Hayli Paradis and Riley Smith also scored for Spruce Mountain/Winthrop,  and St. Clair added an assist.

Ashley Nelson scored for Spruce Mountain (0-9), assisted by Natasha McDonald. Keeper Tyoaka Hodgkin made 12 saves.

BOYS SOCCER

 

MT. ABRAM 8, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 0: Three Roadrunners (9-0) scored two goals apiece in the win in Salem Township.

Bear Rollins, Morgan Thibodeau and Killian Pillsbury each netted two goals for Mt. Abram, while Sam Cockerham and Andrew Rother scored one apiece. Rother, Thibodeau, Payton Mitchell and Jamie Hering each recorded one assist.

Goalie Ben Desalle made 12 saves for Mountain Valley (2-6).

FIELD HOCKEY

 

LEAVITT 5, WINSLOW 0: Katie Sirois scored back-to-back goals in the third quarter to help the Hornets (8-0) pull away in Turner.

Ainsley Berry’s first-quarter goal was the lone tally of the first half. Sirois then scored her two goals just over three minutes apart in the first half of the third quarter to triple Leavitt’s lead. Ava Twitchell also scored in the period, and Sage Dunn rounded out the scoring in the fourth quarter.

Berry added two assists, and Jada Beedy and Maddie Morin each contributed one.

Dominique Giroux-Pate made 13 saves for Winslow (1-7), including one on a penalty stroke.

 

BELFAST 3, MESSALONSKEE 1: The Lions (8-0) scored three times in the first half to win in Oakland.

Payton Wadsworth, Bre Shorey and Jocelyn Valleau scored for Belfast, and Wadsworth, Ava Markham and Lawless Deroschers had assists.

Payton Alexander scored for Messalonskee (4-3), assisted by Chloe Michaud, early in the second half.
