RICHMOND — Hunter Mason notched a hat trick and Zander Steele scored twice to lead Richmond past Sacopee Valley 7-1 in boys soccer action Friday.

Kenny Mecham chipped in with a goal and an assist for the Bobcats (7-1-0). Ben Fournier also scored, Brady Anderson had two assists and Isaac Soule got one assist.

Fifa Siraj scored for Sacopee, assisted by Grady Allen.

Richmond keeper David Edwards finished with 17 saves. Sacopee’s (0-8-0) Chris Mitchell stopped 12 shots.

 

FRYEBURG 8, MARANACOOK 1: Nivaldo Lucato de Souza Neto tallied four goals to power the Raiders to the win in Readfield.

Hugo Sala, Carter Welton, Tucker Barnaby and Andre DiMolfetta also scored for Fryeburg.

Fryeburg improves to 6-3-0 while Maranacook drops to 0-8-0.

 

MT. ABRAM 3, GARDINER 0: Bear Rollins scored twice to lead the Roadrunners to the win in Salem.

Killian Pillsbury and Morgan Thibodeau also added a goal apiece for Mt. Abram (10-0-0) while Trey Reed and Logan Dube combined for three saves.

Connor Fairservice stopped nine shots for the Tigers (6-2-1).

GIRLS SOCCER

 

RICHMOND 4, SACOPEE VALLEY 3: Lila Viselli scored two goals to lead the Bobcats to the home win.

Ella Briand had a goal and an assist for Richmond (7-2-0) while Breonna Dufresne added a goal. Autumn Lane made seven saves.

Lindsay Fox, Haley Wing and Emma Boulanger scored for the Hawks (0-8-0). Bridget Landry made nine saves.

GARDINER 4, LEAVITT 3: Abby Cooley scored twice, including the game-winner in overtime, in the Tigers’ victory  in Turner.

Cooley’s deciding goal was scored with less than a minute remaining in overtime. Her first goal came in the second half. Sophia Marrone had a goal and an assist for Gardiner (8-1-0), and Lydia Gero also found the back of the next.

Madi Dutil and Kylee Spugnardi each had a goal and a helper for Leavitt, and Alicia Bergeron scored in the second half off an assist from Abby Sirois.

Taylor Takatsu made five saves for Gardiner, and Jamie Ellis had seven stops for Leavitt (2-8-0).
