I’ve known Maureen AuCoin for years, both personally and professionally, and I wholeheartedly endorse her for mayor of Hallowell. Maureen’s intellect, experience, and passion for Hallowell is remarkable. From assisting homeowners with renovations as our code enforcement officer, to personally rallying volunteers to work on our old fire station, to guarding our tax dollars as the finance committee chair, Maureen shows up to support so many causes I cannot even account them all!

Most recently during the pandemic, Maureen tirelessly advocated for financial support of businesses, providing guidance on grant access and ensuring our vibrant community weathered the storm.

As a local business owner and former president of the Hallowell Board of Trade, I resonate with Maureen’s plan for creating an economic development director without new tax burdens. Our downtown needs new ideas and leadership. Her goal to elevate Vision Hallowell to a Main Street Maine member would offer access to dedicated programs and grants; it’s just one example of how she uses her government knowledge to bolster community engagement.

Maureen’s commitment and compassion are evident in all she does, from volunteering for Hallowell Heart and Soul to steering the Revitalization Roadmap project. I proudly endorse Maureen AuCoin as the best choice for Hallowell’s mayor.
