HUDSON, Fla. – Austin Laurier Quirion, 86, peacefully left us on Oct. 2, 2023. Austin was born in Waterville, August 12, 1937, to Laurier Quirion and Irene Quirion (Tardiff).

He graduated Skowhegan High Schol then continued on to Boston, Mass. where he received his bachelor’s degree from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy. He then returned and settled in Skowhegan, where he worked in local pharmacies. Eventually he owned his own successful Pharmacies lasting several decades. After leaving private practice he went on to enjoy another successful career as a Pharmacist with Walmart, both in Maine and Florida. At the age of 78, Austin fully retired.

Austin had many passions in life such as traveling, chartered fishing trips, and his career. He was especially passionate about those he kept close to during his life. Austin was generous to people and organizations such as The Shriners.

He was predeceased by both his parents and his son Scott Quirion.

Austin is survived by his wife Angela Quirion (Bishop) of Hudson, Fla.; daughters Kathy Williams of Brewer and Laurie Cormier of Old Orchard Beach; his aister Deane King of Florida; stepchildren, Robert DePesa of Madison, Michelle Kyes of Lincoln, Dennis DePesa of St. Charles, Mich., and Steven DePesa of New Port Richey, Fla., all of whom he remained close to and loved well over the years.

A graveside service is being held on Oct. 14, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Sebastian Cemetery in Madison, Maine.

Funeral services are being provided by Dan & Scott’s funeral Services in Skowhegan, Maine.
