JAY — The Select Board on Tuesday is expected to discuss having a temporary bridge for Hutchinson Road, where a section of it was washed out in heavy rains June 29.
The meeting starts at 6 p.m. at the Town Office. A public hearing will also be held on updates to the General Assistance Appendices.
A temporary road was built with culverts, riprap and barriers, but it may not make it to next spring.
Hutchinson Road is off Bean Hill and Canton Mountain roads.

Town Manager Shiloh LaFreniere and Public Works Department Director John Johnson have talked to bridge companies to get prices. She is hoping to have two estimates to present to the board.
If LaFreniere doesn’t have enough information for action Tuesday, the board will consider tabling it.
She is also working with the Maine Department of Environmental Protection and the Army Corps of Engineers to determine necessary permits.
The town was hit with about $7.9 million in damage and repairs to roads and sewer lines due to the storm.
