Pamela Morin

HALLOWELL – Pamela Morin, who retired from the Maine Service Employees Association, SEIU, in 2013 after nearly 25 years of service to the union, died in August 2023.

Pamela was born in Taunton, Mass., earned a master’s in Library Science, worked as a librarian in Greenfield, and graduated from law school before she began to work in the labor movement, her true passion. She organized and represented workers for the United Electrical Workers (UE) throughout the country before coming to MSEA in the late 1980s, where she worked as a Compensation Analyst and Field Representative.

Pamela had a great sense of humor and loved fiction, rainy days, and the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. She was a mentor to her fellow field representatives and to MSEA-SEIU stewards.

A celebration of her life will be held at the Viles Arboretum in Augusta on Nov. 6, 3 to 5 p.m.

Donations may be made in her memory to the Center for Grieving Children.
