Robert “Drew” Bulba

NORRIDGEWOCK – Our beloved son, father, brother, and friend, Robert “Drew” Bulba, 35, of Norridgewock passed away on Sept. 2, 2023.

Drew was born on March 29, 1988, to John and Renee Bulba in Hartford, Conn. Drew attended Norridgewock Elementary School and graduated from Skowhegan Area High School in 2006.

Drew was well known as being generous, friendly, and charismatic. His family and many friends would describe him as easy-going, kind, and always brightening a room with his presence; he had a genuinely good and big heart.

From a young age, Drew had a variety of hobbies and a very strong work ethic. As a little boy, he could often be seen flying past his dad on a ski mountain (alternating between skis and a snowboard), swinging a hammer on a construction site while learning the tricks of the trade, or in the kitchen making an egg omelet for his grandparents.

Drew was also a stellar first-baseman, and many summers during his childhood were spent on baseball fields with his mom cheering from the bleachers. At the age of 13, Drew began working at Cayford Orchards in Skowhegan, and his time and relationship with owners Heather and Jason spanned over 20 years – they were considered family.

In 2006, Drew met Brittany Guerette, and after 10 years together, they welcomed their son, Joseph “Jamyson” Bulba into this world – naming him after Drew’s late grandfather, “Pop,” for whom Drew had a very special bond and deep connection. Drew imparted his sense of adventure and excitement for life to his son, Jamyson – his “little buddy.” Drew introduced him to snowboarding, dirt biking, concerts, fishing, cooking, kayaking, disc golf, and to the world of apple picking. Jamyson was the absolute light of Drew’s life, and his open heart, kind nature, and love and care for others carries on within his son.

Drew was predeceased by his grandfather, Joseph Bulba.

He is survived by a long list of people who loved and adored him, including, but not limited to his 7-year-old son, Jamyson; father, John Bulba (Bob) of Norridgewock; mother, Renee Steadman of Bowdinham; siblings Dana Bulba (Thomas) of Lakewood, Colo., Rachael Bulba (Nick) of Skowhegan, and Sean O’Keefe (Brittany) of Eldorado Hills, Calif.; grandmother, Lorraine Bulba of Orlando, Fla.; aunts, uncles; and cousins Tammy, Micki, Glenn, Olivia (Stephen), Alex, and Eric (Cherie); and a long, long list of friends.

The heartache Drew’s family is experiencing is beyond words, and they appreciate all the love and support our friends, family, and community have provided during this time.

Drew’s family will be holding a Celebration of Life in the spring will welcome everyone who knew and loved Drew with open arms; more information will be forthcoming.

In lieu of flowers, please consider contributing to a fund for his son, Joseph Jamyson Bulba, at New Dimensions Federal Credit Union in Skowhegan
