TURNER Ainsley Berry and Katie Sirois scored Tuesday as the Leavitt field hockey team closed out the regular season with a 2-1 victory over Nokomis.

Berry opened the scoring midway through the first quarter. That score stuck until the fourth, when both teams found the back of the cage. Katie Sirois scored the second goal for Leavitt (11-3) when she tipped in a hit from Addie Twitchell.

Madeleine Roundy put Nokomis (11-2-1) on the board in the final frame.

Emily Poland made six saves in the win for the Hornets, while Eliya Drummond tallied nine for the Warriors.

 

ERSKINE ACADEMY 4, WINSLOW 2: Lilly Clark had two goals and an assist as the Eagles took down the Black Raiders in South China.

Addison Mort and Phoebe Taylor also had goals for Erskine (5-9). Evelyn Rousseau had two assists.

Winslow concluded the regular season 2-12 with the loss.

 

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 3, WINTHROP 2: Olivia Mastine and Miley Fournier each had a goal and an assist as the Phoenix prevailed in Jay.

Fournier assisted on Mastines first-quarter goal, and Mastine later had the helper on Aubrey Kachnovich’s third-quarter score. Fournier scored the game-winner later in the third for Spruce Mountain (13-1).

Madeline Wagner assisted on Piper Clarks and Kylee Mansir’s goals for Winthrop (11-3)

Ramblers goalie Brynn Stubbert made 12 saves, and Mallory Clark stopped seven shots for the Phoenix.

 

HALL-DALE 2, DIRIGO 2: Faith McDougal’s late fourth-quarter goal knotted up the MVC matchup in Dixfield.

Tori Tibbetts opened the scoring for Hall-Dale (7-5-1) early in the second quarter, and Alyssa Ellis scored from Emily Woods to tie the game for Dirigo later in the period. Grace Averill scored off a Libbie Errington assist to give the Cougars a 2-1 lead in the third.

Jade Graham kept the Bulldogs in the game with 27 saves, while Keira Kelley made three for Dirigo (10-2-1).

BOYS SOCCER

 

RICHMOND 5, BUCKFIELD 1: Wyatt Cassidy and Ben Fournier scored two goals each while Kenny Mecham notched a goal and an assist as the Bobcats took down the Bucks in Richmond.

Zaden and Zander Steele had an assist each for Richmond, which concluded the regular season 13-1. Goalkeeper David Edwards made seven saves.

Justin Lucas was the scorer for Buckfield (12-2). Cayden Durgin had 12 saves for the Bucks.

MT. ABRAM 5, MARANACOOK 0: Morgan Thibodeau and Payton Mitchell each tallied two goals and an assist to help the Roadrunners complete an undefeated regular season with a road win  in Readfield.

Brennan Mitchell also scored for Mt. Abram (14-0-0), and Bear Rollins, Sam Cockerham and Chase Ross each provided an assist.

Sam St. Germain made 15 saves for Maranacook (0-14-0). Logan Dube and Trey Reed shared goalkeeping duties for the Roadrunners, who didn’t face a shot on goal.

BUCKFIELD 2, RICHMOND 1, 2OT: Brittany Carrier and Chloee Bennett each found the back of the net as the Bucks outlasted the Bobcats in double overtime in Richmond.

Ella Briand scored in the second half for Richmond (7-5) after the teams went into halftime scoreless.

Kianna Finnegan made 10 saves for Buckfield (9-5), and Autumn Lane made nine for Richmond.

 

MARANACOOK 6, MT. ABRAM 0: Natalie Mohlar factored into each of the last five goals as the Black Bears capped an unbeaten regular season with a shutout in Salem Township.

Celia Bergdahl opened the scoring with under 10 minutes to play in the first half, which opened the floodgates for Maranacook (13-0-1). Mohlar then scored from Phoebe Bell before assisting on Alice Ferrans goal 70 seconds later to send the Black Bears into halftime up 3-0.

Mohlar, Ferran and Bell each scored within the first six-plus minutes of the second half with Mohlar assisting the latter two goals.

Jany Pepin made 16 saves for Mt. Abram (5-8-1), while Maranacook’s Devyn Eliasen stopped all three shots she faced for the shutout.
