I will be enthusiastically voting for Maureen AuCoin to be Hallowell’s mayor when I cast my ballot. I am fortunate to have a front-row seat to her endless dedication and bottomless compassion. Take a look at her website, maureenaucoinformayor.org, to get a glimpse of what I witness every day.
Mo listens to everyone and even seeks out opinions that challenge her own. I know this, because before we were colleagues, she was the first leader in Hallowell to take me seriously. Rather than wonder if I had three heads, she crossed the room to check for herself! Since then, we have agreed and disagreed many times. No matter the issue, she always brings an open mind and maturity to the conversation. She is both vulnerable and brave in her leadership.
