George Lapointe has been an exceptional mayor of Hallowell and deserves to be reelected.

During the flooding this spring and summer, we would see George outside with a shovel, clearing debris from train tracks downtown, helping neighbors with washouts, or at Granite City Park saving chairs from rising waters.

George is an effective leader at City Hall, digging into difficult and long-standing issues, and finding a path forward.

We appreciate George’s leadership on climate change and environmental protection. He helped pass a resolution for Hallowell to join the state’s Community Resilience Partnership, which opened the door to over $50,000 in new funding for Hallowell to reduce carbon pollution, transition to clean energy, and become more resilient to the effects of climate change.

George is a mayor that rolls up his sleeves and gets things done. We hope you will join us in voting for George Lapointe for mayor on Nov. 7.
