The Little Theatre in the Woods of Oak Hill High School will present their first production of the school year, “Legally Blonde: The Musical,” at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 3 and 4, and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 5.
A fabulously fun award-winning musical based on the adored movie, “Legally Blonde: The Musical,” follows the transformation of Elle Woods (played by Destiney Samare) as she tackles stereotypes and scandal in pursuit of her dreams. Action-packed and exploding with memorable songs and dynamic dances – this musical is so much fun, it should be illegal! Elle Woods appears to have it all. Her life is turned upside down when her boyfriend, Warner, (played by Memphis Murphy) dumps her so he can attend Harvard Law. Determined to get him back, Elle ingeniously charms her way into the prestigious law school. While there, she struggles with peers, professors and her ex. With the support of some new friends, though, Elle quickly realizes her potential and sets out to prove herself to the world.
Other members of the cast include Nathan Founier as “Emmett Forrest”, Kiana Moran as “Paulette”, Aspen Gauthier as “Vivienne Kensington”, Samuel Bonner as “Professor Callahan”, Sarah Rossignol as “Brooke Wyndham”, Jocelyn Davis as “Serena”, Robyn Babbidge as “Margot”, Sophia Dolloff as “Pilar”, and the following chorus members who play multiple roles throughout the production, Joshua Bonner, Kassidy Pulk, Sierra Pennell, Jayden Gustafson, Kaitlyn Daisey, Julianna Langlois, Charlotte Guilford, Leo Lovett, and Connor Robinson.
The production is directed by Lucy Rioux, musical direction by Gary Fuller, Tech Director David Maher, and costuming is provided by Lyn Swan. The tech crew includes Pauline Maloy, Kalana Sands, Amanda Williams, Aaliyah Greene, Ava Rossignol, Adryanna Smith, Ryder Bussiere, Stanley Golob, and Noah Perrier.
