M. Louise Pike

WAYNE – M. Louise Pike, 94 of Mt Pisgah Road, Wayne, died Sept. 30, 2023, at Woodland’s Senior Living of Farmington.

Louise was born in Caribou, the daughter of Edward and Margaret Hebert. She was educated in the Caribou Elementary Schools and was a graduate of Caribou High School, class of ‘46.

For several years she was a bookkeeper for the F.W. Woolworth Stores in Caribou and Bangor.

On Aug. 2, 1951, she married Ben F. Pike of Woodland (Aroostook County) and had six children.

She was always active in church affairs while living in Gardiner and Farmington and in 1972 became local parish representative to the Diocesan Human Relations Services, Inc., This started an affiliation with the program which spanned over 18 years.

She was predeceased by her husband, Bennie.

She is survived by four sons, Marty and wife Cheryl of Farmington, Jeffrey and wife Sherry of Winthrop, Mathew and wife Rebecca of Grand Prairie, Texas, Christopher and wife Stephanie of Leeds; two daughters, Carol Ouellette and husband Michael of Melbourne, Australia, Mary Freeman and husband Jerry of Wayne; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Family was at the core of her being and she found immense joy in catering to loved ones at large gatherings. Her truest happiness was found in the presence of her grandchildren, Kristi (Lamoureaux), Joshua (Pike), Jessica (Keeble), Jonathan (Ouellette), Jaclyn (Ouellette), Amanda (Pike), Ashley (Petrolini), Jordan (Freeman) and Chelsey (Freeman). Her legacy of love for family will forever live in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Louise’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Winthrop, on Saturday, Nov. 4, at 11 a.m. Immediately following the service will be a reception luncheon at the Church Hall. Graveside prayers will be held for family at Evergreen Cemetery in Wayne.
