Judith L. Buzzell

ROME – Judy entered this world March 26, 1940, the first born of F. Eugene and Alice (Reynolds) Lanteigne. Raised in Rome, she began school in a one room schoolhouse and graduated from Williams High School as salutatorian of the class of 1957.

Oct. 17, 1958, she married Dale A. Buzzell and moved to Oakland where they remained for many years raising their family, later moving to Rome. Over her many years, she held may jobs, having worked at Keyes Fibre Co, Waterville School department, Morning Sentinel, Treasurer and Tax Collector for the Town of Rome, but she would tell you her favorite all time job was driving the local children as a bus driver for RSU 18.

Over the years she also enjoyed and shared many past times to include Girl Scout leader and football mom, knitting, crocheting, cross stitch, sewing and shopping. She was also a member of the Rome Grange for many years.

Judy was predeceased by her husband Dale, parents, sister and brother-in-law Janice and Robert Moreau and sister-in-law Martha Lanteigne.

Surviving Judy are her children Lynn (Alan) LaBelle, Barbara (James) Bonnell, Andrew (Janie) Buzzell; and grandchildren Chapin (Bekah) LaBelle, Adam (Melissa) Bonnell, Alyssa (Ryan) Bell, Richard LaBelle, James (Aimee) Bonnell II, Chena (Jacob) Bean, Kallie (Eric) Routhier, and Riley Buzzell; great grandchildren Peyton and Elijah Bonnell, Elsie and Ander Bell, Hazel Bonnell, Adaline and Warren Bean, Owen Routhier and Quinn LaBelle. Her brother Buddy Lanteigne and in-laws Cecile (Robert) Paradis and Perry (Lenore) Buzzell as well as many nieces and nephews.

Services honoring Judy will be held at Wheeler Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Oakland, with visiting hours Thursday, November 2, 4-6 p.m., and funeral service Friday, November 3, at 11 a.m., burial to follow at Lewis Cemetery, Cottle Road, Oakland, concluding with a celebration of life at the Waterville Country Club, Country Club Rd., Oakland.

A very special thank you to the staff of Beacon Hospice; your tender loving care has brought a great comfort during these final days and hours. We are forever grateful.

We also extend a thank you to Dr. Colt, Dr. Reynolds and their associates, the professional and friendly care provided our mom has been a steady and strong presence over the years.
