Tammy Lynn Hood Tanner

OAKFIELD – Tammy Lynn Hood Tanner passed away Oct. 24, 2023 after a curious battle with cancer. Tammy was born in Waterville Oct. 31, 1971 to Ronald Hood Sr. and Linda (Waldron) Hood.

She attended school in Fairfield, graduating from Lawrence High in 1991. Tammy married the love of her life, Daniel Tanner, in April 2013. Along with raising her family, Tammy was employed in the health field. She was extremely caring, outgoing and she reached out and touched the hearts of everyone she met. In May 2019 she completed a lifelong goal and earned her Registered Nursing Degree from Northern Maine Community College.

Tammy was predeceased by her mother, Linda. She is survived by her husband, Daniel Tanner; her father and stepmother, Ronald and Annette Hood, stepdad David Boyce; her children, Tisheena (Justin) Foss, Victoria (Benjamin) Williams, Matthew Roy (Becca Rice), Rebecca Tanner, Jessie Tanner, Julia Tanner and William Tanner; her grandchildren, Aria, Chandler, Teagan, Everlee, Evan, Oliver, Jaxson, Samuel; brothers Todd, Robert, Brian and Ronnie Hood, Arthur Boyce, Michael Zimmermann, sisters Eugenia Wishart, Ronda Connolly, Robin Smith, Shelby Dionne, Stacy Coombs, Kimberly Maddocks; also many nieces and nephews. She will be lovingly remembered by many, especially the owner, Brenda Burpee, and the staff of “A Place to Eat” in Oakfield.

A celebration of life, with a potluck lunch, will be held Dec. 3 at the Oakfield Community Center at 11 a.m.
