A Veterans Day memorial event is set for 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 11, at various locations.
Those interested in helping honor veterans can meet at 10 a.m. at the Readfield Corner Cemetery on Church Road. A ceremony in honor or all veterans is set for 11 a.m. at the Readfield Town Office, 8 Old Kents Hill Road.
Following the ceremony at 11:45 a.m. a free crockpot lunch will be available upstairs at Gile Hall, 8 Old Kents Hill Road with desserts provided by Readfield United Methodist Church. Parking will be available at the Old Fairgrounds parking lot on Church Road or at the north end of the cemetery.
