Roland Roger Lambert

OVEIDO, Fla. – Roland Roger Lambert, 84, of Oveido, Fla., died peacefully on Nov. 2, 2023, at Vitas Hospice in Orlando, Fla., after a long illness.

Roland was born Nov. 12, 1938, in Augusta, the son of Emilio and Eglantine (Rodrigue) Lambert.

Prior to his retirement, he had been employed in the welding and metal working industries for many years, using the skills he acquired during his service with the U.S. Navy. He was an avid sportsman in his earlier years, and rightfully took great pride in his skills as a woodturner.

Roland was predeceased by two wives, Roberta Tomlinson in 2014, and Gloria Merrill in 2011. He was also predeceased by a granddaughter, Sara Corbett in 2014; three brothers, Roger in 1992, Robert in 2015, Donald in 2015; and his sister, Juliet Cody, in 2017.

Surviving are four daughters, Pepper McBain, Samantha Tuttle, Rolanda Davis, and Robin DeBaise, all of Bristol, Conn., a son, Brian Lambert, of Afton, Va., a stepson, Kevin Winters, of Winter Park, Fla.; two brothers, Clem Lambert and Gerry Lambert, both of Augusta; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews; and cousins.
