In Madison

The annual Senior Citizen Thanksgiving Dinner is set for 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, at the Madison Junior Senior High School, 486 Main St.

A full dining experience will be offered to senior citizens who reside within the Madison community, or by delivery starting at 4 p.m.

Delivery orders will arrive based on the available number of volunteer drivers and routes assigned on that day.

In Rangeley

For the 41st year, the Vestry of the Church of the Good Shepherd in Rangeley plans to host the annual Senior Thanksgiving Community Dinner on Sunday, Nov. 19, in the Undercroft of the Church at 2614 Main St..


A sit-down dinner with waitstaff and decorations will return, with two seatings planned at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. All seniors and their caregivers are welcome.

The dinner will include home-cooked turkey with all the trimmings and a fresh slice of pie. Meals also will be available for takeout or delivery.

Volunteers and organizers include the Libby family, Heidi Ross, Good Shepherd Vestry members and others from the community. The food will be donated by community members, local businesses and Good Shepherd.

There is no cost, but at-will donations will be accepted.

To make a reservation or arrange for pickup or delivery, contact the church office at 207 864-3381 or Specify how many meals and which seating is preferred, (11:30 a.m. or 1:30 p.m.) or if pickup or delivery is needed, and provide contact information.



In Skowhegan

A community Thanksgiving dinner is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 23 at the Skowhegan Community Center, 39 Poulin Drive.

All are welcome; reservations are not required.

Deliveries also are available within a five-mile radius in Skowhegan. Deliveries will take place between 10:45 a.m. and 1 p.m. They must be reserved by Tuesday, Nov. 21.
