The Maine Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention is set to host International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day on Saturday, Nov. 18.

This day is dedicated to providing a safe space for those who have lost friends or loved ones to suicide, and to come together to find comfort and community as they share stories of healing and hope. There will be food and resources provided during each event, according to a news release from the Maine Chapter.

Serenity Maine will host an event from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at 449 Forest Ave. in Portland.

Wilson Center will host an event from 2-:30 p.m. 67 College Ave. in Orono. To register for either event and for more information, visit afsp.org/Maine.

For those unable to attend the event, there will also be a virtual option from 10 a.m. to noon on Sunday, Nov. 19. To register for this option, visit northeastern-virtual.isosld.afsp.org.
