I was not surprised to see the bold-print headline on Nov. 6: “Maine gun laws among most lax”. Are we surprised that this would be the direction the Democrats go?
Before the horrific event in Lewiston, Maine was considered one of the safest states to live in. All of a sudden, it has the most lax in gun laws — how convenient. Notice how they are not pursuing the mental health trail that led to this. Why don’t they wake up and take responsibility for the hundreds who are left in the cold because of “lax” mental health programs? Sadly that avenue doesn’t line up with their agenda.
Put a Band-aid on the mental health problem and go after the legal guns of Mainers, because that’s where their loyalties lie.
