Augusta Adult and Community Education recently hosted its second annual Blessings Dinner, an evening dedicated to honoring the achievements of adult education students and fostering community connections.
The event took place at the Buker Community Center and featured performances by Maine Arts Academy students.
The Blessings Dinner celebrated cultural diversity, offering a feast that showcased an array of dishes from various cultures.
The event welcomed guests like Martha Witham, chair of the Augusta School Board, and City Councilman Michael Michaud. Their presence highlighted the significance of community support and collaboration in educational endeavors.
Dr. Kayla Sikora, director of Augusta Adult and Community Education, called the dinner “an incredible testament to the dedication and achievements of our adult education students. It was heartwarming to witness our community coming together to celebrate diversity, learning, and the remarkable spirit of togetherness,” according to a news release from the organization.
