SKOWHEGAN – Brian Alan Mitchell, 68, passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on Nov. 21, 2023.

Brian was born in Skowhegan. He married his high school sweetheart, Ellen (Dickey) Mitchell who he had a great love for, along with his children, and many friends and relatives. Brian loved to golf, fish, and hunt with many of his cronies, all while never having a piece of hair out of place.

He was predeceased by his mother, June Mitchell; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne “Skip” and Shirley Hodgdon, sister, Terry Schiff, and brothers-in-law Joe Jackson and Nicol Tifft.

Brian leaves behind his wife of 48 years Ellen; sons Joshua with wife Emily Mitchell and Jeremy with wife Megan Mitchell; and grandchildren who he adored, Carter, Colbey, Carson, Cade, Macyn, and Maya. He also leaves his sister, Louise, with her husband Dave Johnson, brother, Jay with his wife Wendy Mitchell, sisters-in-law Debbie Jackson and Pamela Tifft, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Lonnie and Jody Dickey; as well as many nieces, nephews; and awesome friends.

Per his request there will be no services. Further date to be determined for a celebration of life.
