Frederick M. Littlefield

AUGUSTA – Frederick M. Littlefield, 46, died Sunday, Nov. 19, 2023, at his home.

He was born in Augusta on Feb. 10, 1977, a son of the late Frederick N. and Laurie (Doyon) Littlefield. Fred was a Cony High School graduate and worked as a high-rise window cleaner in a Boston union for most of his career. He enjoyed sending loved ones early morning photos from atop Boston’s skyscrapers.

In 2011, Fred asked a former high school homeroom classmate out on a date. Fred and Raegan have been together ever since. Eventually, Fred decided to move home and he and Raegan started R.A.M. Window Cleaning and Property Maintenance.

Fred was known as a kind soul with a big heart and a magnetic personality. One of his favorite activities was making children smile. He made an effort to engage and amuse children wherever he went. He read all of the classic novels and was a wicked chess player. He delighted in adding flair to his outfits for a little extra attention.

Fred was a natural leader and liked to say that people either loved him or hated him. He also had deep knowledge about a variety of sports and was thrilled when anyone, especially his nephews, would engage in sports talk with him. Growing up, Fred spent countless hours at the Augusta Y, and as an adult he was often found there working out with his gym buddies.

Fred was spontaneous and passionate, but also loyal and loving. Most of all, Fred loved his family very much. He would often encourage them and bought them little gifts that he thought they would enjoy “just because”. He liked to surprise his family by drawing hearts in the snow and sand, on dirty windshields, and on pavement with any piece of chalk he could find.

Fred found his recovery community in Augusta for the first time this year. It was beautiful to watch him form such strong relationships. These friends, as well as so many others, have been a support for his family during this difficult time.

Fred is survived by his children, Alexee Littlefield of Waterville and Reese St. Pierre of China; his significant other, Raegan LaRochelle and her children, Alden and Mercer Wilkinson, all of Augusta; a sister, Angela Westhaver and her husband Brian of Pemaquid; two nephews, Lucas and Cole Donald and their partners; a half-sister, Shawna Lund of Sidney; and an aunt, Alice Drummond of Manchester; as well as several other aunts, uncles; cousins; and a great-niece and nephew.

Relatives and friends may visit on Thursday, Nov. 30 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta where a funeral service will be held on Friday, Dec. 1 at 11 a.m. Burial will be at a later date.
