Cody Robert Emery

MADISON – Cody Robert Emery, 27, of Madison, passed away unexpectedly the morning of Nov. 14, 2023. He was born in Skowhegan, June 11, 1996, son of Robbie W. Emery and Laurie J. Emery, both of Madison. He graduated from Madison High School in 2015 where he competed in track and cross country. He was employed by Reed and Reed Inc., of Woolwich, and often was hired by people to help with yard cleanup, trimming and mowing.

Cody was a hard worker his entire life. Since he was a small child he wanted to work in law enforcement, on an ambulance service or as a firefighter. He just wanted to be there to serve his home town and help people in emergencies. He served on a local fire department and part time on local ambulance services. He always stopped to help anyone that he saw in an accident or sitting beside the road. He was always willing to drop everything and help family and friends when needed. His heart was big, his smile and sense of humor were infectious. When he giggled, everyone giggled. He was strong and independent. He loved to drive around and travel to see new places and experience new things. He loved his Chevy trucks, his dogs, and being outdoors.

In addition to his parents, Robbie and Laurie, Cody is survived by his stepmother, Sherry Emery; his brother, Ryan Emery and wife Rylee; his stepbrother, Rhett McKenney and partner, Kaitlyn Cowan, all of Madison; his stepsister, Hilary McKenney and partner, Issic Fenlason of Sundance, Wyoming; his grandparents, Jane Washburn and Daniel and Celina Emery, all of Madison; his aunts and uncles, Kimberley Beaulieu of Oakland, Troy and Kelly Emery of Madison, Sherril Perkins of Madison and Michael Voter of North Anson; as well as numerous cousins.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Cody on Dec. 10, 2023, 1-4 p.m., at the VFW in Madison, Maine. We invite you to gather with us to celebrate Cody and the life he lived. He was loved and will be missed by many.

Anyone who wishes can send a donation to The Anson Fire Dept, PO Box 297, Anson, ME 04911, In Memory of Cody Emery.
