AUGUSTA — Maine Arts Academy students performed during two November events, and several students were inducted into the National Honor Society.

On Nov. 16 students performed at the Augusta Adult Education Blessings Dinner. The Composition & Performance dance students — Emily Carlton, Lillian Conry, Jade DeWitt, Holly Lindeman, Haley Pottle, Lilah Ramirez and Patrick Robinson — performed several pieces under the direction of Hannah Berry, MeAA dance instructor.

Peter Herman, MeAA music instructor, led students Ethan Arsenault, Lillian Fernald, Kaitlyn George, Ander Palmer and Skylar Gagnon of the Classic Rock and Pop Ensemble as they played a number songs, according to a news release from Diane Manter with the academy.

Students also performed at Augusta’s holiday tree lighting Nov. 25. The Jazz Ensemble — including Isaiah Baker, Ashley Burton, Allana Chase, Lillian Fernald, Josh Mulcahy, Ander Palmer, Xavier Ramirez and Isaac Smith — were led by MeAA music instructors Peter Herman and RJ Miller. The ensemble performed in Market Square.

Dancers Emily Carlton, Lillian Conry, Jade DeWitt, Juliann Emery, Holly Lindeman, Lilah Ramirez and Patrick Robinson, of the Composition & Performance class, under the instruction of Hannah Berry, performed on Water Street.

This year’s inductees to the National Honor Society — Lilith Clannon, Jade DeWitt, Allison Lerch, Holly Lindeman, Audrey McAlpine, Helena Page and Seth Sears — were inducted Nov. 28. They join current MeAA National Honor Society members Emily Carlton, Mya Hills-Pettitt, Hailey Inman and Haley Pottle.
