Lorraine A. Greenwood

LOUDON, NH – Lorraine A. Greenwood, 85, of Loudon, NH, passed away surrounded by her immediate family on Dec. 1, 2023.

Lorraine was born on Dec. 7, 1937, to Zena Marie and Martin Peary in West New Portland, Maine. In 1951, Lorraine met the love of her life, Dale Greenwood, Sr. They wed in 1954 going on to have four children, Cindy, Dale Jr., William and Scott.

When they started a family, Lorraine dedicated her life to being a fantastic, wonderful wife and mother. Excelling at motherhood, she was the foundation of our family. She also enjoyed Ballroom Dancing with her husband and friends. As a Mom, she was very supportive in providing opportunities for music, theatre, sports and racing. She enjoyed traveling and watching her children and grandchildren perform or compete in many concerts, plays, sports and motorcycle racing events.

Lorraine was predeceased by her parents, Zena Marie and Martin Perry, and her younger brother, David.

She is survived by her husband Dale Greenwood, Sr of Loudon, NH; her children, Cindy Greenwood-Young of Dunbarton, NH, Dale Greenwood Jr. and his wife Carol of Manchester, NH, William Greenwood and his wife Melanie of Voluntown, Conn., Scott Greenwood and his wife Heidi of Dunbarton, NH; as well as ten grandchildren, Marshall Young, Hannah Greenwood, Kelsie Dube, Gavin McFarland, Connor Greenwood, Samuel Greenwood, Owen Greenwood, Emma Rose Greenwood, and Greyson Greenwood. She also leaves behind three great grandchildren, Olivia Young, Watson Dube, and Carter Rose Dube.

Lorraine is also survived by her ten siblings, Coleen Ricker, Gene Manzer, Rena Clark, Lois Page, Ernest Peary, Esma Cole, Jolene Pinkham, Everett Peary, Erwin Peary, Richard Peary, as well as, many nieces and nephews who all reside in New Hampshire and Maine.

Services will be held at Bennett Funeral Home, 209 North Main Street Concord, NH. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2023 from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. A short service shall proceed the calling hours starting at 6:30 p.m.

The Bennett Funeral Home 209 N. Main St. Concord, N.H. 03301 is assisting the family with arrangements.
