FARMINGTON —Evans Sterling had a game-high 26 points as Mt. Blue beat Messalonskee 66-58 in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A boys basketball game Friday.

Nolan Leso had 14 points for Mt. Blue (3-0).

Sam Dube and Merrick Smith each had 18 points for Messalonskee (2-1).

 

TEMPLE ACADEMY 57, NORTH HAVEN 32: Nathan Corey scored 15 points as the Beareans (1-2) earned their first victory at North Haven.

Peyton Reckards added 14 points and Gabe Young 10 for Temple (1-2), which led 20-2 after the first quarter.

Brett Walerman had 15 points for North Haven (0-3).

 

TELSTAR/GOULD 63, WATERVILLE 49: Wyatt Lilly scored 14 points as Telstar/Gould (1-2) earned its first win in Bethel.

Teammates Brody Morgan added 14 points and Connor Deprey 13.

Garrett Gendreau scored a game-high 19 points for Waterville (0-3), followed by Derek Couture with 13.

VALLEY 66, VINALHAVEN 16: Kirsten Bigelow had 16 points and eight steals as the Cavaliers won easily in Bingham.

Madeline Hill had 15 points and 10 steals, and Liana Hartwell had eight points and 10 steals for Valley (3-0).

Lydia Wentworth scored 10 points for Vinalhaven (0-3).

 

MADISON 63, OAK HILL 15: Alison Griffeth finished with 13 points for the Bulldogs in their win in Wales.

Mackenzie Robbins added 10 points for Madison (2-0) and Jacey Moody had eight.

For Oak Hill (0-2), Mackenzee Wardwell contributed six points and Madalyn Sikora chipped in five.

 

MARANACOOK 44, MT. ABRAM 17: Natalie Mohlar scored 15 points and Celia Bergdahl added eight to lead the Black Bears to the victory in Readfield.

Alice Ferran scored seven points for Maranacook (2-0).

Mt. Abram dropped to 1-2.

LEAVITT 51, ERSKINE 46: Caitlyn McCoy was the leading scorer for the Hornets (22 points) in their win.

Jordyn Boulay contributed 17 points for Leavitt.

Kelsie Dunn finished with 19 points for Erskine, and was followed by Serena Hotham with 10 points.
