WINTHROP – Ronald Joseph Pelletier, 65, of Winthrop, passed away due to health complications on his birthday, Dec. 8, 2023.

Born in Augusta in 1958 to parents Joseph and Florida(Quirion) Pelletier, Ron grew up on Northern Avenue (ā€œSand Hillā€) where he attended St. Augustine School and Cony High School.

Ron dedicated many years of his life to the paper industry, working at both Statler Tissue and Auburn Fiber. He most recently retired from Dave’s Appliance, where he formed lasting bonds with his colleagues.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle, watching NASCAR and spending time grilling and listening to the Blues in the garage. Most of all, he loved his daughter, son-in-law, and his granddaughters. He was very proud of his family.

Ron was predeceased by his parents.

He is survived by his daughter, Ariel (Kevin) Taschereau of Arundel, his two beautiful granddaughters, Charlotte and Ava Taschereau; his twin brother, Donald Pelletier and partner Claudette Veilleux of Augusta; and his most loving and caring companion of 10-plus years, Nancy Maitland.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring. Details to be shared at a later time.

Arrangements are in the care of the Roberts Funeral Home, 62 Bowdoin Street, Winthrop where condolences and memories may be shared with the family on the obituary page of the funeral home website by visiting http://www.khrfuneralhomes.com.
