AUGUSTA — Maine Arts Academy, a free public charter school, has announced its open enrollment for the 2024-25 school year.
The academy is accepting registrations for grades 9-12 for the upcoming school year.
Enrollment is set to open at 3 p.m. from Tuesday, Jan. 2, until Sunday, March 31, to any student residing in the state; there are no tuition fees.
To complete and submit the Intent to Enroll form, go to maineartsacademy.org.
If more forms are received than space available, a lottery will be held at 3 p.m. March 31 to determine the initial seat offers. If a lottery is not necessary, enrollment will continue to be open until all available seats are filled.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
