Winslow Public School cheerleaders plan to perform Monday, Jan. 1, in the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Florida.

The teams invited to perform in the pre-game performance are trophy winners from Universal Cheerleaders Association, Universal Dance Association, National Cheerleaders Association, National Dance Alliance summer camps and Urban Cheerleading Experience brands under the Varsity Spirit umbrella, according to a news release from Catherine Morris with Varsity Spirit Special Events.

Team members from NCA Cheer Camp Summer 2023, including Brody Davidson, Candace Davidson and Jordan Gorneau, traveled as a team to Orlando for a week of rehearsals dedicated to preparing them for their Citrus Bowl half-time performance. The dancers and cheerleaders will perform in front of 60,000 fans at the college football game in the Camping World Stadium in Orlando.

Amy Davidson is the cheer coach for Winslow Public Schools.

The Citrus Bowl has been a college football tradition since 1947. The game gives cheerleaders and dancers the opportunity to perform at the 7th oldest collegiate bowl in the country, as well as the opportunity to visit Universal Studios Orlando.
