VINALHAVEN — Brayden Thompson’s double-double led Rangeley past Vinalhaven to its first win of the season in a 56-26 victory over Vinalhaven in boys basketball action.

Thompson scored a game-high 18 points and pulled down 13 rebounds for the Lakers (1-5). Anthony Whittier finished one rebound shy of a double-double, tallying 10 points and nine rebounds. Sam Morrill made two 3-pointers and racked up 14 points for Rangeley.

Three players scored for Vinalhaven: Ira Stockman netted 13 points, Hunter Hamilton had seven and Anthony Roberts had six.

 

RICHMOND 81, FOREST HILLS 70: Hunter Mason scored 24 points as the Bobcats (8-0) remained undefeated with the win in Jackman.

Wyatt Cassidy and Kenny Mechon poured in 19 points apiece for Richmond.

Cooper Daigle scored 25 points for Forest Hills (6-2), followed by Jaxson Desjardins with 23.

HALL-DALE 59, LISBON 6: The Bulldogs remained unbeaten with a win in Lisbon.

Ten players scored for Hall-Dale (4-0), led by Jade Graham’s 15 points and Hayden Madore’s 14.

Delaney McGrath scored four points and Kasie Booker had two for Lisbon (0-6).

 

VALLEY 82, WISCASSET 21: Madeline Hill scored 18 points and Liana Hartwell added 14 as the Cavs cruised in Bingham.

Bre Mills scored 12 points for Valley (8-0).

Kiersten Bigelow, Hill and Hartwell each had five assists.

Wiscasset dropped to 0-6.

RICHMOND 52, FOREST HILLS 27: Izzy Stewart scored 21 points as the Bobcats (6-2) earned the win in Jackman.

Payton Cray added 11 points and Ella Briand 10 for Richmond.

Allie Dunning scored 11 points for Forest Hills (5-2).

 

MADISON 37, DIRIGO 32: The Bulldogs (6-0) survived a physical contest to earn a victory in Dixfield.

Alison Griffeth led Madison with a game-high 16 points, which included 8-of-14 shooting at the free-throw line. Raegan Cowen added eight points.

Sophie Nino-Agguire led a balance Dirigo offense with seven points, while Aleiah Ward and Abby Luczynksi scored six apiece and Keira Reny had five points. Lana Waite pulled down 12 rebounds for the Cougars (1-5).

 

WINTHROP 59, KENTS HILL 34: Ella Rice finished with 17 points for the Ramblers in their home win.

Haley Williams chipped in 12 points and Kylee Mansir and Madeline Wagner added 10 apiece for Winthrop (4-2).

Lucy McDonald tallied 13 points for Kents Hill (0-3).

MONMOUTH 74, TELSTAR 46: Rileigh Chase tallied 17 points for the Mustangs, leading them to victory in Bethel.

Haley DeHahn and Tarynn Keleher were Monmouth’s (2-5) second-highest scorers, contributing 14 points each, while Maeve Burgess and Kaitlynn Frost scored 13 each for the Mustangs, who have won two in a row.

Telstar’s (2-4) Morgan Zetts tallied a game-high 37 points. She also pulled down 24 rebounds.
